Terms & Conditions

It Girl Hair Extensions has the ability to last up to a year with the correct aftercare. Some colours can last even longer however we do not take any responsibility If the hair does not meet this expectation.

 

Any colouring or use of toners to the hair extensions is done entirely at the risk of the individual concerned. 

When wearing hair extensions, we cannot be held responsible for any damage incurred to the hair, the customer must take full responsibility for this.

 

Hair extensions may alter colour when in contact with the following;

 

  • direct sun

  • tanning lotion

  • tanning oils

  • sun creams

  • body lotions

  • hard water

  • chlorine

  • UV Light / Sunbeds

  • Sea Water

  • any other chemical solutions

 

 We take no responsibility for the hair extensions changing colour as it is the customer’s responsibility to wear their hair up and keep it out of the sun and/or chemicals.

 

There are certain products that we recommend to use to fulfil the lifespan of our extensions and the aftercare kit can be purchased via our website. We also offer a special handpicked holiday aftercare kit that has the essentials to help prevent any harsh chemicals damaging your hair extensions. 

 

Included within this holiday aftercare kit are Malibu C Sachets. These work extremely well when your hair comes into contact with certain products. 

 

Shedding / Breaking / Tangling 

Your Hair Extensions over time may shed, break or tangle depending on the aftercare used and how often heat is applied. 

 

Your natural hair will already have a supply of goodness from your scalp, however because the Hair Extensions is essentially dead hair that is no longer attached to the route, it will not receive the nutrients to keep them healthy. That is why aftercare products are essential and the use of heat is limited. We recommend using Sulphate Free Shampoo and Conditions, Heat Protectors before styling and daily use of oils. Sulphates can potentially cause the extensions to dry out and tangle, however over time the absence of Sulphates can cause product build up and residue. If this occurs the use of a clarifying shampoo every so often is recommended. 

 

Metal Tips coming away from the Nano Rings 

This is a natural process once the Hair Extensions have come to the end of their lifespan. If this happens early into the wear of the Nano Rings, it could be that the hair is being pulled or stress is added to the Hair Extensions. 

 

In a very rare and extreme circumstance there is no obvious reason for this please contact your hair extensionist as they will need to return to the hair to ourself for further testing. 

 

Refunds

Unused hair can be returned in its original packaging, unopened within 28 days of purchase. A refund will be given back to the original payment method. Unfortunately we are unable to return funds to another payment method than the original due to prevention of fraud. If the original payment method is not available to you, you will need to contact your bank.

My order has not been received 

All orders will be posted via Royal Mail Signed for. A tracking number is available. If your order has not been received within the requested delivery timescale, please contact us. 

 

If the order is showing as received but you claim to not have received this, you will need to contact Royal Mail directly as we will not be held responsible. 

 

Shipping 

If your order is in stock and placed before 1pm it will be dispatched the same day. For any orders that are not currently available, these can be ordered and dispatched within 7-14 days.

Faulty Items

In the very careful and precise processing of Hair Extensions, a number of donars are used to create our desired results. Gentle processing and colouring takes place, therefore the structure and feel of one set of extensions may differ to another set.  In the very rare event that there is a manufacturing fault with the hair extensions you must contact us immediately (via your stylist).

Any fault with the hair that is not caused by an aftercare issue will be established after the first wash. Therefore we are only able

to give a 14 day grace period in which the "Faulty" hair extensions can potentially be returned. 

 

It is down to our own discretion within the 14 days of purchase whether we are happy to;

  • Accept the hair extension back for testing 

  • Potentially refund or replace the hair
